Influenced by the music of Django Reinhardt & the Quintette du Hot Club de France, we bring swinging rhythm and hot solos to the classic songs of the 20’s – 30’s era.
Fats Waller, Irving Berlin, George Gershwin & Duke Ellington were among the songwriters.
Louis Armstrong, Fats Waller, Benny Goodman, and Artie Shaw were among the recording stars.
At the same time, Reinhardt with violinist Stephane Grappelli and other French musicians were being influenced by this “swing” music, and adding their musical heritage (Sinti or Gypsy culture, Musette & French popular music), creating their own interpretation of the emerging hybrid style.
The Triplets of Grubville
Rinn, Paul and Glenn are individually big fans of this music, and when the group was first formed they found the perfect outlet to recreate this style, and add their own personalities.
We have played numerous venues and events around St. Louis, including The Grubville Opry, Vintage Market Days in Chesterfield, Evangeline’s Bistro and Music House, and The Harmonie Verein in Augusta, MO.
